E3 2019: Magic 8 Ball Predictions

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to pull out our handy-dandy trusted Magic 8 Ball so it can drop some serious knowledge and tell us what’s going to be what at this year’s E3.

You can watch the entire episode here, or if you just want to play along we’ve listed all of our E3 predictions for 2019 below.

NOTE that these predictions were made in late May, so by the time E3 rolls around certain things may be confirmed/denied/commented on despite rumor and speculation. (I don’t think that last one makes any sense.)

EA:

• Will we see a Dead Space 1 remake? Very Doubtful
• Will we see anything new from Dragon Age at E3? You may rely on it

Microsoft:

• Will the Fable game at E3 be a remake? Signs point to yes
• Will the Fable game at E3 be Fable 4? Signs point to yes
• Will Halo Infinite launch on Xbox Anaconda? My reply is no
• Will the word teraflop appear at the Xbox conference? My reply is no
• Will the word gigaflop be at the Microsoft Stage? YES
• Will Gear’s 5 release be September 10^th 2019? It is certain
• Will we get a tease from any of the first party acquisitions? OUTLOOK NOT SO GOOD
• Will we see Dino Crisis at E3? AS I SEE IT YES
• Will we see a hybridization of Dead Rising and Resident Evil? Ask again later
• Will we see Platinum’s new IP at Microsoft’s press conference?  Outlook not so good
• Will we see how Azure will work for MS’s cloud streaming gaming platform? Most likely

Bethesda:

• Will the time be reduced to open a gold fucking chest in Elder Scrolls Blades? Most likely
• Will Bethesda have a musical guest this year? Outlook GOOOOD
• Will Pete Hines say “WE FUCKED UP” on stage? Better not tell you now
• Will BJ say “Daddy’s home?” and Wolfenstein III will be revealed? Cannot predict now
• Will we get a release date for DOOM Eternal? My sources say no
• Will they announce Prey 2 at E3 2019? You may rely on it
• Will we get another Evil Within Game reveal? Without a doubt

Ubisoft

• Will For Honor 2 revealed at E3? As I see it yes
• Will Splinter Cell finally be revealed at Ubisoft’s press conference? Yes
• Will Watch Dogs 3 be revealed at E3 2019? Signs point to yes
• Will we see a tease of the Avatar Project at Ubisoft’s press conference? As I see it, yes
• Will we see Miyamoto on stage with Yves at E3? SIGNS POINT TO YES
• Will we see gameplay of Beyond and Evil 2? It is decidedly so
• Will we get beta details for Beyond and Evil 2? Ask again later

Square Enix:

• Will we get a release window of 2020 for FF7 remake? Yes
• Will we see a tease of Avengers at Xbox stage with deeper dive at Square Enix’s press conference? My sources say no
• Steimer: Am I having a stroke? No
• Will we see a reveal of Crystal Dynamic’s Avenger’s title? Cannot predict now
• Will co-op be announced for The Avenger’s game? Ask again later
• Will we see Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC at Square’s conference? YES
• Will we get a release date for Dragon Quest XI on Switch? Outlook good
• Will we get more information about Babylon’s Fall? YES DEFINITELY
• Will we see what Deck9 is working on at E3 2019? It is decidedly so
• Will we see a new JRPG IP at Square’s conference? Don’t count it

Nintendo

• Will we see three new Gen 8 Pokémon? YESSSSS
• Will there be another new region in Pokémon? It is certain
• Will we see a cooperative element in Sword and Shield? My sources say no
• Will we get a release date for Sword and Shield? You may rely on it
• Will Chrissy Teigen talk about Animal Crossing? You may rely on it
• Will we see Animal Crossing Switch at E3? Yes
• Will we get co-op action integration into Link’s Awakening? Cannot predict now
• Will we get a Link’s Awakening release date? Yes
• Will we get a fall 2019 release date for Luigi’s Mansion 3? My reply is no
• Will we see a new Smash Bros. character? Outlook not so good
• Will we see Waluigi in Smash? My reply is no
• Will we see Goku in Smash? Doubtful
• Will Bayonetta 3 release this year? Ask again later
• Hey, will Bayonetta 3 release in June of 2019? IT IS CERTAIN
• Will we get an Ocarina of Time remake? It is DECIDEDLY SO
• Will we see a Metroid Prime Trilogy reveal for Switch? Outlook not so good
• Will we see SNES titles come to Switch? MY SOURCES SAY NO
• Will we see a Mother 3 localization? CONCENTRATE AND ASK AGAIN/DON’T COUNT ON IT
